I am just wondering why Buckeye is "channeling" Dick Jones? Wouldn't Ghandi be more interesting? :biggrin_255:

I don't believe I am able to channel what DJ is thinking, but I sure would like to hear what he is saying about now. :biggrin_25524: Channel Ghandi? I'd rather not if it means wearing only a loincloth.

When you spoke about this before I suggested using a family member or friend's address to establish your address in the area of CA that they are hiring.

It gets you hired. And you can take your "hometime" anywhere.

I could understand giving a relatives address for a job at an awesome union job but seriously for a job at a bottom feeder like swift? You've got to be kidding?

Lookee here. A guy driving for one of those fly-by-nights that'll hire illegals because he can't get a job anywhere else calling Swift a bottom feeder.

That's funny. And the last post I'll ever see from this individual.

Congratulations. A new record. It only took two posts for you to end up on my ignore list.

Talked to my recruitter today, and now it looks like a orientation date for me is somewhere between the middle of March to the end of March. If it stays the end of March, I am sorry, but I will have to start looking again. Hiring freeze still on in Columbus as far as equipment and exp drivers. I can afford to be off until the middle, but not until the end. If I could just find away around that $2500 up front for the L/P and being a company driver to prove that I can handle 10K miles a month, then it would be better.

Injun, any ideas. I am planning on calling the L/P department on Monday and see if they might come up with an idea.
