Even blank spaces need to have "NONE" put in all blank spaces. That way you dont appear to be ommiting anything.

Yeah, I know that too. Would be nice to move on though.
Went and spoke witha recruiter at Western Pacific Truck School today.
We'll see if that avails anything.

A school will tell you anything to get your money. They can't tell what a company wants. Talk to a recruiter before you spend your money.

My problem is how is a company gonna check my background in Ireland?, Its clean as a whistle but still no record for them might equal a bad record. Will just have to hope that my gaining residence is proof for them that I have no record at home.

This is not in defense of HireRight/USIS/DAC, but when I did a search for USIS in the days before HireRight, nothing about this company showed up through several pages of entries, USIS was too well used and not exclusive; someone really dropped the ball when they picked that acronym trying to tack a governmental connotation and credibility onto a credit reporting agency.

USIS-dac-Hireright does not check by birthdate or license number or by social security number, they just find a name do a background check and get info for whatever name pops up, they dont care if its the wrong person they get info for or give the info for to a company. So you really have to beware of hireright and see the file for yourself, then probably get a lawyer to change it. And yes they keep files on you forever, they dont quit after 7 years or 10 years and they report it ALL.

I recently heard that since the trucking industry is federally regulated that they can see anything, even if it has been expunged, vacated, or sealed. Has to do with Homeland Security and TSA.

I am in the process of trying to get a pardon for my charge but was told they can see that too.

So, I guess you just have to tell them everything. Problem for me is I can't remember all the stupid crap I did when I had my head up my ###.
Recovery has taught me that I do not need to dwell on that stuff except to remember what it leads to.

The US has become a perfect system (a lie) for perfect people (liars).:biggrin_25514:

BTW how do you know the info above? Sounds to me they would be in for an easy win in a lawsuit. Slanderous and libelous!

I just got my DAC (USIS/HireRight) report yesterday. It does state that the information may not represent the individual for whom a report is requested. Also they do not make any assertion that any or all information provided in their report actually represents the individual for whom a report was requested. Furthermore it states the information SHOULD NOT be used to make employment decisions, and the only valid information is that for which a fingerprint match is used. After 7 years accidents, reason for termination, and drug & alcohol results will not be listed.

However we all know that it IS used in hiring decisions.

Everyone should request their free report and review what might be said about them (or someone with a similar name).
