Where do I get my turnover numbers and the name SwiftQuit? From current SwiftQuit drivers, ex-SwiftQuit drivers, SwiftQuit recruiters, recruiters at other outfits, constant advertising in newspapers and magazines, and from posters here. I'd say that's a pretty good army to rely on, hence the moniker. I'll take that bunch over your pollyanna posts, unless it's the day after doomsday. I'm scheduled to go back to work at SwiftQuit the day after the world ends.
Don't try to polish the turd that is SwiftQuit. You can not polish a turd, so give it a rest and move along now.

Just out of curiosity, what rpm would you consider good pay? I only ask because I do look at other companies to see what they are paying, anything special they are trying etc.. one company that I heard is good, smith transport pays .35 to .40 "depending on experience". I am not sure how much exp you have to have to get hired on, but that pay scale is not far off from Swift, .33 after 1 year (.35 East coast for 1 year).
Thanks -
im talking starting out pay. after my trianing is over ill get 26 cents a mile starting solo. to me thats junk pay. 30 cents per mile starting out would be fair. 30 cpm and up.26 cpm is just garbage. with the way the economy is. 26

I heard its like 500%, and all those drivers that quit in a year are now mixed through all the other trucking companies. The plan must be working, people only notice the drivers of Swift trucks, not the Swift drivers infiltrating these other companies trucks. The take over is almost complete, in 10 years we must have put 4 or 500,000 "sleeper" drivers out there. Tip, you used to work for Swift, you will receive "the signal" soon. The take over is almost complete. Bahahahahahaha
Sorry, needed some humor today, the transportation sector is doom and gloom lately. Fuel and the economy impact is something that I think everyone in trucking can agree on atleast -
Gotcha. Part of the reason its .26 for the first 3 months for you is because of your experience. Cost of accidents, missed deliveries and learning to be more efficient is why its so low. That generally goes for most jobs in the market. The good news is you get raises almost every 3 months which is generally more often then most "entry level" jobs. There is a reason why there are not that many companies willing to train, it follows the same train of thought that insurance companies have with 16 year olds getting licenses. New drivers are a higher risk for accidents. When I say accidents, I dont just mean vehicle on vehicle accidents. Ruts in yards cost money, trailer doors cost money, fixing scratched up trucks cost money, fixing running boards from curbs cost money, freight damage from following to close to someone and having to slam on the brakes costs money. Not paying attention and running your jakes during the winter down Rabbit Ears pass in Colorado costs money. We have to have a trade off in pay until your experience and efficiency are enough that we can pay more and have less risk of these things. -
well needless to say ive been out here watching and learning. im not perfect but i do consider myself a smart employee. i dont kiss anyone's butt. ill do my job i avoid any managment people at all costs. lower the profile the better id say. jusdt going to do my job do it well be safe. i have seen plenty of swift drivers with bad attitudes and driving skill to match. i cringe when i go into some truck stops and see some of these low class truckers who talk nothing but garbage then think they are the class of the industry. then i had another trucker the other day see my reaction to one of these baboons, he comes over to me and shakes his head and says (no wonder why the general public dislikes us.) and its not just swift with scumbag drivers that do not shower have bad attitudes, talk like the f-word is the only word they know. its all companies.i think swift is cleaning up there act its what i see.. but we need to do something about the truckers image and attitudes also. my plan is owner op in the next few months. to all the respectful drivers out there good luck be safe. and to all you stink pots with 1 tooth and a bad attitude and language skills of nothing but f this f that. take a shower, get some dentures put some deodorant on.

I'd want to wish good luck to all in the trucking industry. The skies are dark for drivers and insiders alike. Yes, you read right. I DO have a soft spot in my heart for trucking company insiders. It's about as big as the head of a pin, but it's there.
