Thanx for those kind words everyone...this is big step for me again, as my wife would really like me to stay home..she understands that I really want to be behind the wheel again...It's just hard to stay away when you really love driving..just about everyone out there on the road knows that making a ton of money is pretty slim,so we're not doing it to get rich. I'm just tired of being mentally beat down by a boss whos job is to blow smoke up your butt, and customers who love to tick you off every chance they they get...(autoparts business). All the bosses care about is the bottom line and are they gonna get their bonus...Sorta like trucking..lol :biggrin_25513:

Well I'm not heading to orientation just yet...do to a family crisis.I've pushed it back 2 weeks instead of having to deal with it after I get on the road..It's tough to get home quickly sometimes and don't want to chance it...:biggrin_2557:

Good luck to you! I know what you mean now about missing the road. I've only been on my first home time now for less than two days and am already itching. LOL, going into the yard Monday to get my truck assignment and can't wait!

Once you get hired, day 2 1/2 you'll get your truck or mentor.

Ok it's my last day at home b4 I head out in the morning 4 orientation...Salt Lake here I come...I'm taking my laptop with me to keep up with everything...Hopefully my updates will let experienced drivers know what they could expect when making a move to Swift...I'll be looking for everyone out there and you can find me by how clean my truck will be...I'm one that keeps his truck sparkling and clean....

Actually, there are quite a few company drivers with Swift who take pride in their equipment. I did. My truck's dirty right now because I went home for three days and the payment & fuel came out first. Didn't leave me much.
