Mine is filthy but it came that way! Soon as my real pay starts rolling I'll get her cleaned up. The inside is clean and neat though! ###### butterflies have been kamikazeeing me the past couple days :(

Ok now I'm at the hotel in Salt lake and it's pretty nice..Bus ride was ok until the driver tried backing up with the door open!...I do believe the door is bent now...haha
Tomorrow we'll visit the local doc...and cough or do whatever this physical consists of.I was on the bus with a guy that has over 30 yrs in the seat and is also joining the Swift team...I'll update more after our 1st day....:biggrin_2556:

My first experience riding the dog for a trucking company took me from Bangor, Maine to Dallas, Texas via Atlanta, Georgia. 79 hours in greydog hell! Same cloths, vending machine grub, and other various "conveniences" and I was actually muttering to myself. Seemed to work. :biggrin_255:

Well 2day was our 1st day and we started off doing a DOT physical. No worries there but we lost 1 guy do to his Diabetes I guess...I think he has to inject insulin and that's not allowed...Oh well. All of us that were experienced got to do a test drive to show that we know what we're doing..I guess...I did just fine..Lot's of videos 2day and tomorrow too...ugh...Things have changed a lot at swift for the better and it starts with the drivers. Whether we like it or not, drivers will be rated by the gov't starting next year and if you get enough points, you will have your CDL yanked right under your nose. So, most co's are weeding out the troublesome drivers b4 it happens...From what I understand, when you hit 45 points, you get a letter from DOT...you hit 100 pnts, you're sitting home for 3 years without a CDL..Oh well...I think they go back 3 years on driving records...Wow big brother is really watching now..That's all for now...:biggrin_2557:

heres the deal......If you accumulate enough points you WILL NOT loose your CDL...you will however become an unwanted driver till the points drop off in 2-3 yrs. you will still have your CDL just noone would want to hire you and thats coming from the Govt.

No..that's not what we were told 2dayl...You will lose your Cdl for a period of 3 years...Period..Or if you want to get technical,confiscated...Then you'll get it back...just like DUI's..DOT is not messing around this time..There's no grace period or anything....There won't be any co's that will touch you...that much is for certain..I wouldn't be certain of it if the the SLC terminal head honcho didn't tell me today...He didn't sound like he was kidding....We'll see for sure when it goes into effect in 2011....

Sounds like the DOT has finally gotten tired of all the "warm bodies" that some companies put in the seat just because they can barely pass the CDL exams. In the long run it will be good for those of us that actually take safe driving to heart.

    Good on ya Nicnat2.
