Swift has good quality training, but they're not the only one that does; do some comparisons.
Some provide hotel room and 3 meals a day.

Earl Henderson Trucking - hotel & 3 meals
    Maverick Transportation - hotel & 3 meals
Southern Refrigerated Transport - hotel & 3 meals
    Celadon - hotel & 3 meals
    KLLM - hotel & 3 meals

Earl Henderson is the less complicated one and they will probably have you in class more quickly than the others. They cut through the BS and get right down to trucking ASAP.

If you want the cheapest route, (but maybe not the fastest), check community colleges. Look online and call their admissions departments. Some have night/weekend CDL training.Next, if you find a community college with diesel mechanic training, call that department and ask one of the instructors. If you are unemployed, check with your local or state government job agencies. If you are a veteran, you may have training dollars available.

The only option I have is to go through a company training bcuz of bad credit and I'm working as a cab driver for 200oo every 2 weeks. There are a couple of schools around here but I can't afford to take them. West Virginia only has 3 or 4 schools

There is a lot of government help available to you. Community colleges can help with GED and CDL.

I found one. There are others. See WVCTSC.org for a list of community colleges.

Eastern West Virginity Community and Technical College has a four week CDL course. It looks like you need a GED, but I would ask if you could get both at the same time. It never hurts to ask. Call 304-434-3000 extension 304 for program start dates.

Sherry Watts is Director of Workforce Development. 304-434-3000 or 877-982-2322.

The college won't do GED and cdl at the same time and workforce will take up to 8months to get funding for cdl training. So it looks like I'm going to have to go with Swift schooling

Give Swift a call and ask them if they train students from WV. They told me they did not about 10 months ago, also Rohel told me the same thing. I dont know if this goes for all driver training companies. Good luck cdl school is expensive in this state.

You might want to call them back because I called them about a month ago and got everything set up to go as soon as I have some money saved up for the small fees they have. I will be going to Kansas city Missouri for 1 ½ weeks then to Salt Lake City Utah for another 1 ½ weeks. Roadmaster will take people from wv but they straight out lie to you you about fees and the schools total cost ( ex they told me around 7grand total cost of schooling and when I got there and started signing the paperwork it was actually 14grand)
