I got lucky. When I finished up my training I was put on a dedicated route with no solo experience. This is on the Swift Flatbed side of things so it may be different than the van side.

how's the flat bed dedicated? Are those the guys that run the single bunk sleeper with the "p& d dedicated" on the sleeper?

I don't know about the P&D thing. I run in the east from SC to IN/MI and back. It is an easy run but the company has several out west that I know nothing about. I love the run I am on that is for sure.

I really , really don't want swift written that big on the side of my truck.

Well maybe it would have its perks , no one would ever park next to me in a truck stop.
some people really earned a reputation for that company .

You're very correct tangerine. I really agree with all that, but at least they're busy? They don't get paid what they deserve, but they're busy. It's dumb as hell. Also, their flat bed has very weird routes. It's like a triangle from the Carolina's to Indiana and Michigan down to Texas. Yes, I've looked it up before haha.

Hmmm , wonder if I could go on their flatbed division , but keep my truck ?
carolina's , and texas are my two favorite places. However I am not so big on Michigan. Lol

If you own your truck, then there shouldn't be a problem signing on as an O/O for the flatbed division. This is provided that the truck is flatbed ready, with headache rack; although as a van driver I've pulled a preloaded flatbed that had the headache rack installed on the flatbed.

Nope , she is a company unit. I don't want anything to do with their o/o (lease) saga.
I thought about the o/o thing , but if I wanna pack up my #### and leave . I can do it a bit easier. Lol

I believe you'd just be based out of Gary then. Their trailers aren't the greatest, but my buddy said they've been taking orders on new ones. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to swap you over.
