Windless1 - Which location are you going to attend?

 

i went to swift for orientation. The first day u know u do paperwork drug test and so on. So if u fail the pre employment drug screen will that go on your dac report

 

Kcguy, dont know where yet still playin the phone game with the recruiter but he makes it sound good, imagine that Pretty much waitin on the background check to go threw. Pretty excited about it but goin to miss the family.

 

The other day one of our intructors told us that would go on the DAC report. Makes it impossible to find another job. Why would you be doing drugs knowing you are starting a career where you have to be drug free?

 

Because some individuals buy into the Bravo Sierra from the online (and some probably local) companies that their product will ensure that the individual will pass the drug test, regardless of whether or not they are clean.

 

If you do drugs...You are not needed or wanted in this industry!

 

I agree...however if you have cleaned up your act and are afraid you may not pass, I believe they make home drug testing kits (i think they are greared toward parents). You can also go to the local occupational health clinics and pay for a drug test. I did this when I got my authority several months ago and it was $65. Before I could "hire" myself I needed a pre-employment drug test.

 

I have about 2 years with Swift and have averaged about 30k/yr so far and I only go home once every 6 weeks. They are a good company but with the economy the way it is 41k is a wet dream lol.

Those figures are obtainable on a dedicated account or during busy times. You should expect to average around 2,000 miles a week some weeks are better, some are worse but when the economy gets back in full swing I'm sure it will get busy.

 

Kevinm, thanks for the real life info. On the drug note figured the phrase of cya would come into play, sorry fellow but you knew about it before you went.
