Understandable
Swift is like most megas I guess. I've only been driving for four years and fortunately have never been late, no accidents, tickets or other issues. Swift paid for my CDL and I'm pretty much left alone to do my thing. It could be better but I can survive on a $1000/week since I have no bills.
I had only planned on staying one year but it seems the smaller higher paying regionals and tanker outfits (I live in Houston) wanted a minimum of 2-3 years OTR so I kept going with Swift to maintain my employment record and not job hop. I want to get home on the weekends and no longer stay out for weeks at a time.
I'll be leaving Swift in the next couple of months with a solid performance resume and good PSP and no #### on my DAC. I'm also not happy with the phasing in of driver facing cams in all Company trucks. Time to go!!
Be safe!!

The shipper wouldn't answer. I knew the receiver would take the last any time.
Why don't you stop assuming, as it seriously makes you look like an a.ss -
I did not say they should get me home just because I'm platinum. Once again child, I stated that I'm platinum so that other swift drivers would know I'm not just sitting around and crying to my dm all the time. I barely have 2 months with this company and I'm bringing home about 900 a week. I had a little less than 3 months of driving before I came to swift, so it would have probably worked out about the same timing if I had trained with swift. So swift is not low on the pay compared to others. Which I also already said.
Perhaps you should go elsewhere and talk. The whole point of this thread is to show the stupidity and lazyness of those in the office at swift. If you ever need a job though, I think you're probably about the right caliber of person to work in the office at swift.Last edited: Jun 22, 2015

I really hate to hear that. Knight was one of my choices for a future home
-
Yeah that's right. It is 12 consecutive quarters. For some reason I was thinking 3 quarters.
-
There was this dude here who worked there for a while. He hated it. Then he went to work for Marten. He hated that worse.
Thrre are a ton of threads about them.
To be honest, the only one out of that whole bunch of driver mills that people seem to be relatively happy with is Prime. -
I've never heard anything about marten but I had the impression that knight had their #### together. Once I have enough experience to write down to be able to make my next move I probably won't be going with another large otr company anyway. It's just so stupid how it works out. I LOVE being otr and I could plenty of money doing it. I got rid of all my bills before I got my cdl (because I did A LOT of studying before I got my cdl) so that I wouldn't have to worry about money until I was able to get the experience to make the money driving. But I'm just the kinda tolerate certain things very well and won't stay somewhere I'm not happy with. So I'll be looking for a smaller shop next go around for sure.

Sorry brother

Dude if you're making $900 a week at swift you should stay there. That's dam good money for a new driver.
-
If you are taking home $900 a week, you are taking home FANTASTICALLY EXCELLENT MONEY!
God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!HousTank Thanks this.
