    I went to the Academy in Phoenix, we had to pay for our permit/cdl which was 1 cost of $25 for instate and $35 for out of state.
    Other than that money depends how you eat and shop, some people took up to $500, some went broke...I used probably around $300 during my stay but that was food, Walmart trips to buy supplies etc, food itself I probably spent around $150.

    Then after I got my CDL I was bussed home where I had to retake the written test at the California DMV and the cost here was $67, some states you dont take a test again, only transfer.
