Do you know if the dispute form is even worth it????

If you do dispute it, what happens? do they send a letter to the carrier and request a change or what exactly, shed some light driver?:biggrin_25524:

    Don't sweat the self promoters

Many drivers here that actually know anything know that company's will load up your dac when you have legitimate reasons why you could not pu or del on time.

I checked my service record once at a OTR company and had 2 service failures on loads that I was dp to pu after the del appt. had 1 at another company where the load del at 0200 but the receiver did not even start work till 0400. So they put 0400 on the arrival time and the numbties at the company where asking me why I was not there at 0200. They never checked my arrival macro or the truck position just looked at the bills. And it was their own CS dept that was sending drivers there 2 hours before they opened.

You just have to check your record at the company a couple times a year and keep records of everything.

Companies also screw up dp and then tell the receiver what can we do, we have idiot drivers. I have had receivers tell me many tall tales when I was del
Can't count how many times I have been told by a rec I was late because the company changed the dp but never made a new appt with the cust.

I followed a detour for a marked truck route that led me to a low bridge. I chanced it and tore an $1100 hole in the trailer roof. I'm almost done paying it off. #### happens. Just got to suck it up and move on.

2 questions, did you ask receiver to move boxes or forklifts so you had more room and did you check your map to see if detour was ok for trucks?...

Like someone else stated, I've called local LEOs a few times letting them know I needed local info to get me out of place that was leading me to a place I couldn't go, if they laughed at me, I don't know, all I know is they were more than happy to help me and on more than one occasion said the same place suckered other truckers in there and they wished the signage was better for us...

One of the software engineers responsible for that routing was on this forum once. He defended the routing was 100% accurate. That they kept up with all detours. I pretty much told him he was fos. Then companies expect you to follow that routing not knowing what lies ahead of you.

First P&G should alert drivers to the detour with a poster or something. Second, PA is especially bad. You should follow your tracks back out to the interstate unless you know the area.

Hitting the boxes? You got out and looked and seen they were close. You remedy the situation by driving slowly?? Fast or slow the boxes will still fall. You should of had them moved or have someone help you watch your door. Never guess you are going straight through them blind backs. You should be centered on the doors and GOAL every 10 feet or so until you are confident you are square.

Heading out to NYC with an 8am delivery running tight from 3am?? Only a bozo would schedule you and expect you to run 55mph through heavy NYC rush hour. That should of been discussed prior to taking the load.

Never ever expect grass or a dirt shoulder to carry the weight of your truck. You'd been better off following the detour if there wasn't a safe place to turn around. If they can't warn you prior to the detour of the 10 ton bridge, screw em. :) They are required by the MUTSD to install proper signage. 10 ton bridges are usually very small and your wheel base will stretch across it. Don't think you'll cause damage. Those numbers are created by formula's by engineers for prolonged use and takes in consideration of multiple vehicles being on it at one time.

You made a whole lot of mistakes in a short amount of time. The idea is to make your company money. Not cost them.

Bankruptcy's are for people that lost their job and are on hard times. Working a year and you have financial problems??

I think you still have some learning to do. Slow down and think a little more.

Amazing some of you have excuses while other drivers have flawless DAC's. It would seem everyone would have stuff on their DAC if there were so many erroneous reports.

If you have a legitimate complaint, by all rights dispute it. They are going to launch an investigation and verify it's accuracy. DAC is covered under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

    Here's the link to dispute.

Low clearances are a whole different ball game from restricted bridges. A $1100 sounds like you didn't even slow down?? But, nobody is perfect and #### does happen. One has to use judgement the best they can and not run around like Homer Simpson. Live and learn and don't make the same mistake twice. Unfortunately in trucking, lessons are expensive.

It's only 122mi from Wilkes barre pa to NYC. It took you 3.5 hrs to do 122 mi. that's from your own times.

My New York experience is, with the exception of about four hours during the 24 hour day, traffic keeps moving on the expressways. New Yorkers are too aggressive and in too much of a hurry to let moss grow under their wheels.

    Next excuse, please...
