They will hire you but if you fail the road evaluation at orientation they will send you to their CDL school for a refresher.

I think Pride Transport tarp pay is $50.00 and ramp pay is $50.00
Ramps are used when you haul vehicles such as sprinter vans, etc.
Trucks & trailers are top notch and trucks have refrigerators, xm radio, satellite TV.

I hope they will hire me. Being off the road for 11 years is a long time. On top of that 11 years ago I had a preventable - rear ended a car.

Well in that case I'm not sure. Rear end is a big deal with swift and everyone else for that matter. Good luck to you sir.

Thank You. I have been rejected by Melton and US Xpress so far. Chinatown seems to have some optimism for me. I would be happy to attend a companies' CDL school as if I've never driven, even though I still have my class A CDL. I know it is a bad deal, but it has been 11 years. That wreck sure scared the hell out of me, and I have no one to blame but myself. The car did stop fast, but we all know that does not matter. I dropped the ball. Actually, I was opening a diet Coke that had been dropped on the floor. It exploded, distracted me, and it cost those few precious seconds.

I will take a look. I will feel real bad if I get the thumbs down from Swift. Back when I was driving, they were the go to Company for drivers who had a boo boo.

That is now western express. They are the "second chance" carrier.

I just started filling out the Western Express app. and saw they allow no drug or alcohol positives ever. I have never used illegal drugs, but I have two positive alcohol (DWI's) in my personal vehicle. I got one dismissed (2006) through court supervision. I went to an in patient rehab program and have not consumed alcohol since. The other was in 1995, it was a conviction. Soooo it looks like I am outta luck with Western Express.
