Also when it mentions qualifications paperwork on Day 1, after the drug test... What all paperwork are they having us fill out? I know it's a ton of paperwork, but what is involved in particular?

So basically bring the pdf that they sent me of the application I previously filled out for them and copy that information from my phone into the paper application they gave me? Lol

Sadly it's school and not orientation itself, which I understand will be the same process over again, but at the end if I manage to remain, I have a job.

I am probably WAY more confident in my ability to learn to drive a cmv in a few weeks and get my CDL than I should be. I'm not even phased by that. I'm a lot more nervous they didn't really do as thorough a background check as they said and the real one is coming and they will actually look at what i disclosed to them and be like wait, there's been a mistake. I'm not even worried about shifting or backing a trailer.

Only that paperwork. More scared of a false positive on my drug screen and I haven't taken #### in years lol. So much worry, I'm sure it will be fine. But I know that 40 people will show up and 30 or so will remain on Tuesday and I'm nervous about that lol

Oh, you're going to school...nevermind about the flatbed terminals. Thats different. You get the schooling done first, and then go to a flatbed terminal.

I just started driving for Melton, a flatbed, otr only company, they use 10 speed kenworths with APUs and inverters.41cpm with no experience,500 a week while training, including 500 for a 8 day oreintation, u should ckeck it out ,P.S. I went through swift's school in memphis. Melton has a 2000 dollar sign on bonus and 1200 tuition repay for driving school.

Melton is my very first choice believe me on that one. Just didn't want the #### on the company that gave me a shot with Swift and then maybe be sent home by Melton etc. I will definitely fill out an app for them when in school, but I think I will stick it out with Swift if I make it. Tempting though for sure. Just watched a loaded Melton truck pull in at Walmart here in town and he first thing I did was spring across the parking lot to try and talk to him. Probably thought he picked the wrong Walmart in a dangerous area or something. Best believe I talk to every Melton driver I can and ask them about their miles lol

My concern is a felony from 14 years ago and an old suspension for failing to maintain insurance lol. Not super awesome job history because the record makes a decent job hard to come by and that means not enough lay, means trying to move to better job to better job lol

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
