Gotta love these posts. No info, no facts, no nothing, but they expect you to take it on their word.

Why isn't she there? Get canned?

Yea that's why I don't even respond to those type of post. I mean if your going to talk trash about something at least give examples and I don't want he said she said I want facts, meaning you were there and actually saw everything happen and the way it went down.

Don't help people like me trying to figure out what the best company to start out with as a noob. I was Millis all the way but was told today I was outside their hiring area.

Yea I really wanted to go to Millis also I've talked to several of their drivers who started their start there and are still there several of them I talked to had been with them for 5 plus years and couple had been there 10 years. That says a lot to me but I too live outside their hiring area. I live in KY.

Midwest & Devil, is that just right now that you are outside the hiring area? Their website still lists MO. & KY as states they hire in? Might want to check back with them, from time to time.

I did note that the links to their school are not workung any longer.

I will once I get in school they can't do anything for me until I get my CDL but I am planning on applying with them. They seem like a pretty decent company. I applied at TMC but got turned down but everything happens for a reason and from what I hear through the threads on here it sounds like they are having money problems.

Looking for current input from any Swift skateboarders. Did a search but most info is dated ('07, '0:cool:

How have the miles been, lately? Are they keeping you busy?

Are the fb tractors set up as such, or are the the same as the van ones? Is all the equipment decent, and do you have enough?

    Anything else you can add?

Although I might be interested myself, as it's one of the companies that have a terminal in my area and might consider taking me on, I'm primarily asking for a neighbor (no computer). He drove for Swift several years ago as his starter company. He never had any problem with them and liked it there. Recently he's been driving for a sort of shaky local company. They do flat and van, he's found he enjoys flatbedding.

His wife passed away, and he has no kids at home. He's moving to Greely Sc, and Swift has a terminal there.

And please, those of you who aren't Swift flatbedders (or ex ones) and might want to post all sorts of negatives about the company, please don't. I've read, and let him read, most of the negatives posted on the forum.

    Thanks, drivers.

Maverick looks good AFA money. They are all over I-40 in middle TN. Check out McElroy in Bama. There is others down there too. I wouldn't even consider Western Express.
