Swift - Gary, IN Terminal???

All of the above though it seems more were in Columbia's.

 

Yeah they use most the columbias for the flatbeds but i've seen volvo's to. I dont know why they havent moved or redone gary or heck how about lets get rid of the 300 empty trailers that are broken and move them or fix them and get them out of there so people can park and take a shower and do paper work. I had a few times when I was close on hours and was counting on a spot at gary and wind up driving around the lot for about 45 minutes then go pound on the door of the bobtail parked in the trailer parking spots and ask him to move. Then the guy says nah I cant find anywhere to park my bobtail, I said I just saw 6 spots you could hide the bobtail I need to park my truck with trailer here so move please.

 

Yeah they wouldnt be able to implement that type of parking deal in gary though unless they got rid of the piles of garbage and 100 empty trailers that never get used. You guys ever have any problems at the terminal by detroit area?? Couple times I went in there to fuel and waste an hour cause they were working on a pre plan for me. Anyways pull in dude stops me and radios in my truck number and says you have no preplan you need to drop that empty now and park. I said uhh no I need this empty I know I will so im keeping it hooked to my truck. After a little arguing I called my dm and he had to call them to tell em I needed that empty and blah blah blah I hate detroit terminal with a passion.......

 

I only went there once and I had to pee-test for them after I dropped a load off over there off 8 mile and Sherwood. They didn't yank my empty from me but they do that in Lancaster, TX all the time. I hated going there. I guess I understand the reasoning behind it but it's a real pita when you have to give up an empty. Especially when it's a nice trailer.

They didn't place you out of shepardsville school? that sucks wish you luck with Swift. I Haven't been able to get in a school yet. I started calling companies who offer training directly. Swift and CRST are the only ones who have been working with me. Just waiting for Swift to give me date for Millington and CRST is waiting for their medical to approve me. Most companies see on disability for my transplant and run. At least these two consider my attending college the last 4 yrs as a form of employment. I have my Med card and got permit today as Swift wanted. Hope they don't back out.
