I have a question. Why is it that everytime someone complains about there work environment, you respond with advice to go to other companies? But you never respond with the same company for everyone. Can you read by the persons typing on which company would best suit them?

Depends on their posts and where they live and what they indicate their interests are.
If a person isn't content where they are; they should leave.
The post I referred to; they guy lives in Tennessee and now working in Alabama. A&R would be a good fit with a terminal in Decatur, AL and one in Nashville, TN. Good pay and benefits with quick load/unloads. -
Fair enough. I always see you respond with job placement advice and was just curious.

Just hangin there a bit. Its your first week and a holiday at that.

Well, I try. I don't just throw names out there for no reason. Many times I spend lots of time on Google and my personal little notebook looking for practical information that will help answer a question.okiedokie Thanks this.

Don't question Chinatown. Probably one of the most reliable sources of information on this forum. Always courteous and never a plick. Very helpful.
Sneakerfix, Chewy352, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Why do you think anything a recruiter sells you will actually happen in real life?
Mikeeee -
I only believe it when I see it. I just wanted to know if his recruiter lied to him. -
As others have said, welcome to Swift.
Back about 8 years ago when they were my first driving job as well, I recall sitting with a trainer in Rio Rico, AZ waiting on a TransMex load to cross the border at Nogales. Load showed up 4 days later than what it was supposed to, so that meant the trainer and I sat in the Love's parking lot not making any money for 4 days.
On the other hand, when I found myself back at Swift about 2 years later, I was on the WM dedicated fleet out of Los Lunas, NM and ALWAYS had a trailer loaded and ready to roll by the time I got to the "terminal". I only recall a couple instances where other Swift drivers had to wait 30 - 45 minutes or so while the DC goobers finished loading the trailer. -
I have a question. Why do people come to TTR to complain about Swift?
1. You heard a billion horror stories before you went to school.
2. You heard a billion horror stories while you were in school.
3. You got online to do some research and found a billion horror stories at TTR.
4. You went to Swift for orientation, and saw the slaughterhouse, and the plexiglass to protect the desk jockeys.
Despite all the warnings, you thought that you were different. "Well, all of those people are idiots. I'm special! I like to drive and be alone. I drove 300 miles to grandmas house last year. I was made to be a trucker!"
Suddenly, things don't go your way and you post about it here. Why? Is Swift the company that everyone told you that everyone warned you about or are you not the driver that you thought you were?Old Iron, Lepton1, Toomanybikes and 1 other person Thank this.
