Well, thanks @buddyd157. I have a small feeling that I may get hired but I still don't trust what that lady said. I'm not much into astrology, but that is just one of my Capricorn traits coming out. I have a hard time trusting even my own family. :confused3::-?

@buddyd157 why you ask whether I turned the plates in? And one more thing. The biggest reason why I'm kinda in a tizzy about this is the money I had left after the last job I had went to replacing the transmission in my truck, only to have the engine throw a rod a week after I replaced the transmission. Darn truck ain't worth a crap in the bad place. The transmission was about $1500.:angry4::angry5::mumum:
So, I really can't afford to pay for my CDL and schooling on my own at this point.

With your past, the LAST thing you wanna do is pay for schooling out of pocket. You are a prime candidate for company sponsored training. Let the company decide if they’re willing to take a chance on you and then sign that contract for a year. If they don’t take you, you’re out nothing

Thats my thoughts. What would you recommend doing come Monday? I plan on calling them until I speak to my recruiter at least. If I don't get a satisfactory answer from him, I'ma find someone who can give me a satisfactory answer. I'm not one to put up a fight very often, but when I do, it is justifiable.

The problem with these big companies is getting an actual human to listen to your story. I believe your past is behind you and you’re serious about this. I also believe that once you get in front of someone that can make the decision, you’ll be be able to show them you’re serious . The problem is getting someone to take that chance.

Just keep trying. I’d definitely narrow my search down to companies that offer company sponsored training at this point. That should help make it a little less overwhelming

I won't do it any other way. As much as I have been through with my past and how other have treated me with regards to it and me not getting in anymore trouble than I already have been in, I think it's time someone starts doing a little something for me. I have an ex-friend who also happens to drive a log truck for himself had actually gotten to help him work on his log truck on two different occasions and not give me anything whatsoever. One time was switching the transmission and the other was changing a differential. I understand that owning your own truck is expensive but I can honestly say that he is not all that smart with money or his time.

I have another question. What exactly is pre-adverse action? I just spoke with a Swift Security Officer and she said that is was in the pre adverse action stage of my application. Does that mean that I am not hired or approved for trucking school? Or does it mean that I still may be in the running for a job with them? As I said before, there are only three thing on my back ground report and the place that was listed on the background report for running the MVR is located in NC, which leads me to suspect that the only thing being included on my MVR would be the ticket for no insurance which actually was dismissed. So, if someone could shed some light on the pre-adverse action bit, I would greatly appreciate it .
