Enjoy yourself. It is fun most of the time and (this is for my pal in Lancaster) it really is a piece of cake!

yes there is, but I doubt that I would want to park my truck there on home time when the terminal would be alot safer and I doubt that Swift would like a truck being parked in a truck stop unattended for a couple of days when the terminal is there.

True but I used to live in Houston and if it was my truck you were driving I would prefer you park it somewhere other than the terminal.

I believe company policy says that you must check on the truck at least every 18 hours if it is not at a secured drop yard. So you could keep it at a truck stop it would just inconvenience you in a major way.

I would just drop my trailer at the yard then bobtail to your cousin's place. With the exception of low clearances a bob tailed truck can go just about anywhere.

Lots of home neighborhoods with HOA's that would freak if a bob tailed truck was there any length of time (but you can check with their neighboors see if they look the other way)

And some terminals are just out of the question to park with truck and trailer or bob tailed. We vacation in San Diego every year for a week on Mission Bay. If you have ever been there you'd quickly learn a regular sized pick up doesn't fit and I have a tough time with my Explorer even when I have a spot with my condo, parking is a nightmare if you can find it then walk the several blocks to where your at and not have to move it for street sweepers. So no trucks. We love it there would move there in an instant if we could afford it, but you walk or bike everywhere to eat shop beach or bay groceries. Heaven... 29 days left and counting.....

I digress the terminal name escapes me at the moment but the one near San Diego has little to no parking. If Steve doesn't make it home by the time we leave to leave his truck at Phx, he has parked it in Fontana (now Mira Loma) and I have driven up got him and drove back. This terminal parking works for our Disneyland trips was well.

Steve also visits family in TX, IA, WA, and CO.

When you want home time all you do is put in zip code for were you want to spend it and you all ways put in couple days before you want to be there. Keep in mind that if your company driver that if your home location is not in rout that you have to leave the truck at terminal near location finding your own transportation.

    I hope this helps
