The internationals have a great interior setup, and ride and turn nice. But they break down a lot. Ask ur dm for kenworth or cascadia. CCascadia are nice all around I think.

Is Swift handing out Kenworths to company drivers now? I'd have to grab one upon my return in a few months. Oh, and I'd have to disagree about the Freightliner. I hate those trucks. I believe they use Detroit motors and they suck compared to the Cummins the Volvo and Internationals use. Additionally, the Jake Brake sounds better on a Cummins, IMO.

    my cascadia is a cummins....

I prefer the freightliner, I had a volvo, 2 different prostars and 2 internationals. I liked the prostars for the interior but had a heavy clutch and during bad traffic I got clutch leg bad. The freight has a decent interior also and I quite enjoy it, also has a better turn radius than the prostar in my opinion.

As for the KW's I have seen company drivers with them but not many, mostly freights and volvos.

They have gone to all cummins engines. Which is good. There are a few KW but not to many.

That's cool. If/when I do come back, it'll be anything but a Freightliner I'll ask for. That also depends on the position they may or may not have at the time, too. We shall see in 6 months time.

Cummins are good. Ask me about Cummins. I am down for the second time just this year due to DEF/DPF/Regen issues, and have been told by Cummins mechanics, there are lots of problems with them.

All truck makes and all engine makes are not perfect. Its man made stuff, sometimes you get a good one, other times not. I like detroit bc its quiet. But cummins does have more torque and is simpler to work on for mechanics. Both get comparably good fuel eco.

When I drove for them I trained in a 2010 Prostar. Cab was a bit tight but not quite Peterbilt narrow. Ride was good not as good as the Volvo IMO. Eaton 10 speed and a Cummins motor made for good pulling and OK mileage. My first solo truck was a 2009 Volvo 670 it had the same engine/trans set up but that dammed thing had so many gremlins. Sleepers a bit small on the 670, ride was pretty decent. Eventually the engine seized, something to do with the turbo if I recall. After that I got thrown into a newish maybe a 2012 670 with the I-shift transmission and the Volvo Engine. Best auto transmission I have driven. Unlike the Freightliner auto it can figure out if you're under load and adjust accordingly and it had a manual mode for grades. Engine brake setup was a bit funky though.

Ive havent driven a International, Pete, or Kenworth. I spent alot of time in a Freightliner and have had three Volvos. I love the smoothness of the Volvos but I desire a ProStar. This midroof Volvo is killing me.

    Good luck with a ProStar.
The one I had was in the shop for a total of 6 weeks in the 6 months I had it.
