I don't know about that, but IMO, they're a bunch of jerks.
Its not just you guys. Any of the large carriers has their detractors - and anyone who drives for them (in the opinion of the detractors) must be a "wheel holder," can't do their job, some kind of major safety risk - and or "drinking koolaid" if you don't agree with them.
Must be nice to be Mr. Perfect BigRigger - can't ever make a mistake. Oh - excuse me while I dodge your BS truck because you can't control it - going too fast in the hammer lane! Shall we mention the O/O trucks you see in the ditch because they fall asleep, jack knifed in bad weather because they're overconfident and driving (once again) too fast for conditions?
LOL! Hang in there guys, y'all do pretty well most days!
And don't go PO'ing Nana - them's fightin' words!

I'd rather pass a Swift than you. At least they seem to be able to write properly.

Strike a nerve Iron?

Nah! Just pokin' at a redneck a little!
If I get my tomahawk out, there may be unfortunate consequences... -

I'm a Swiftie now!!!

Just out of orientation and waiting for a mentor.
I just love all the Swift bashing. It makes my day.
I don't care if Swift is a 'bottom feeder', since as a new driver I am at the bottom of the pole and need to start somewhere.
I don't care if my truck is limited to 62MPH and y'all pass me at 75. It won't be me that pays a $2,000 speeding ticket.
I don't care that some people like to highlight Swift accidents. In fact, every accident video in orientation was of a Swift accident.
I don't care if you laugh at the logo on my truck, or at me as I am learning to back into a tight space. Laugh it up all you want, and I'll try my best not to take your bumper off. Really, I will.
I chose Swift for several reasons, not the least of which was the posts on this forum from happy Swift drivers. I figure Swift will have it's share of bad drivers, since it hires more drivers than anyone because it is the largest trucking company in the country. I don't intend to be one of those bad drivers.
So you can laugh at me all you want for being a Swiftie. Me? I just intend to be the best driver I can be, no matter where I work.just lil me, AF461, frdr and 2 others Thank this. -
Ditch divided by 2 = need for a SWIFTIE picker upper ( Tow Truck )

Thats the way to be.
I remember when JB Hunt was the "whipping boy" of the trucking industry. Now its Swift.
They are all the same. Just different colored trucks. -
I haven't read all this but I saw a post back a few pages about wrecks in bad weather.
I took this video from my dash cam last year after a snow storm in Iowa. These trucks were littered all over I-80 within about a 60 mile stretch. I don't think I saw one Swift, Schneider, Werner, or any of the other usual suspects.
In fact, most of them looked like O/O trucks or small companies. I'm not trying to defend Swift, but in Snow, or bad weather, it seems like most of the wrecks I see are O/O's or small companies. I don't know why, and I work for a small company, so no bone to grind here.
I'll have my dash cam rolling again this year and see what happens.
