IM in training now have a pre hire through swift and i just stoped by to see what everyone had to say about swift and how they treat ther empolyees and that they kept there promises and things like that well i just was wondering hows there insurance and 401 k and if thaey are really giveing out 3000 to 3700 miles a week like they say they are to there drivers couse they are going to pay me 24 or 25 cents a miles so that would come oout to be anywhere between 750 to 950 a week well please let me know how true all what the recruiter is telling me please

I personally sat for a couple days at a time sometimes and only got a load because I bugged my driver manager and the planners to get myself rolling. Other swift trucks that were in the area would still be sitting as I was leaving.

I've heard a rumor that Swift is trying to clean it's image.

About the equivalent it would take to spruce up the Gulf Oil Spill Area, give or take a few gallons...:biggrin_25523:

Can't say that the miles will be that plentiful. As far as 401k and insurance goes, I suppose it's ok. I've had the same coverage for 3 years now. I've used the vision and it seemed to be real good. I can't complain at all about the office staff. Everyone of them knows me and I know them and we all laugh and joke all the time. Have a great time.

im new to the trucking industry and i attended swift academy in millington tenn.there program there is excellent and the instructors there are out standing .they throw alot at you fast in a short period of time but the way its put out there ...if you pay attention to what they say ...youll learn it .i would recommend training with swift to anyone that wanted to learn how to drive and operate a big truck

well here it is a month since ive been on an freight aint all that slow here.been in the mid west an west the last month.man those drivers out there are whinners freight sitting on the yard an there whinning there not making any money.GET OFF YOU LAZY ARSE AN ASK.i had to do a 34 hour restart every week.an i (kick me on the backside)just signed a 3 year lease on a new prostar.an before u say anything yes i know what im doing.i am tired of seeing the o/o's at this company making money off the students an not training them properly.with me i'm hoping to train them to be better at their job if this is what they want to do.oh an if you are wondering how i got to sign a lease so early..proof of all my years driving helped.saved most of my log books an past licences my 2 million mile awards an training certificates.so drivers save all that you can save in you driving career .an to any one who is currently on or coming on as a new driver hope to see you out there.an all who are on here an read this we are all human there is hardly any acknowledgement any more between drivers accept at the fuel pump or at the truck stop.dont wait till you are on top of a truck beside of the road to see if he needs help shout when u see them who knows maybe it might be me there...just look for my handle on my truck say hello an lets pass the time getting there safely.be safe all .see ya in a month or two
