The information that Dick Jones is giving about the mentoring period salary and hours is incorrect. Please listen to Oldnew, his is correct.

Thanks for clearing that up because I had a change of mind for a minute there.

It says the price of tuition to go to their school is $3900, which is paid back over the course of 26 months of employment. My question is, is there any penalty or rules against paying that back early once you're employed with them? Say after 6 months, or 9 months or whatever, if you have the money, can you pay it off and be free of any obligation to them at that point?

Let me clarify something: you have NO obligation to Swift other than to pay back the loan. But let me ask you this: why would you pay it off early and leave? You see......you pay the loan back by month 13.....and also during that first 13 months Swift repays to you half of your monthly payment..........the second 13 months Swift is refunding to you the rest of what you paid in. So by paying it off early or leaving......you're losing out on Swift paying you back. By month 26.......Swift has paid you back the monies you paid for your training.

But yes, you can pay off the no interest loan early.

No problem whatsoever. You see, Swift has changed some things and so those who knew the old ways.....don't always know things have changed. I try to listen and then call and find out so I'll be giving accurate info but I don't always have it. Oldnew is a recent grad so his info is really up to date.
