I never haul reefers so im not worried, only hauled 1 and guess I was too tired to feel it but strange enough I feel when someone knocks on my door or shakes the truck to get my attention
I thought Central was already owned by Swift or one of Swift's relatives. Dick Simon was bought out, changed it to Central Ref. Now Swift is the head honcho. Reefers rock Ain't no feeling like reefer mobilin we beeeeeek quiet
So far we've been told nothing will really change, just access to more yards, maint facilities, etc... So time will tell
You will probably slowly get re-logoed with the snail trail, but I really don't know. What terminal cities do we have in common? I know SLC is there but other than that I have no clue.
Central has terminals in SLC - UT, Fontana - CA, Conley - GA, Henderson - CO... New ones that recently opened in Rochelle - IL and one in WA (can't remember the city)... The only terminals I know for Swift is Phoenix - AZ, Ocola - FL and of course SLC - UT.
Ya, I thought Jerrys' kid(s) owned Central. ??? Maybe they cashed out big at on the Swift stock holders dime? And thinking they will remain two different divisions, logos etc? ? Jonestown PA is the only Swift yard I've seen Dental refers share. Hope they don't get start sharing all terminals. No offense, but it's actually really nice to park at a terminal, knowing you will jacobson a night away from the rumble box reefers. WHOOM...WHOOM ...WHOOM ...GAAAA !
I was always told it was owned by Jerry moyles daughter and now its part of Swift in official terms... So does Swift get to use the central terminals now too? Lady K for a list of Swift terminals here you go, there are quite a few http://swifttrans.com/about/details/terminal-map just click on the bubbles to see where they are
