Actually, Pawpaw came on the boards and discussed how he was going back to Swift, he talked about it again when he did it and has spoken numerous times about driving for them.
I've learned a great deal from him concerning Swift.pawpaw Thanks this. -
I guess what I should have said was, "This is the first time you've mentioned TO ME in a thread that I'VE posted in, that you were employed by Swift!"
The point was that, in a thread that's now fourteen (14) pages long, that has undoubdtedly captured the interest of a large number of guest and/or new members (page views are now in the thousands), that "pawpaw" had yet to indicate that he worked for the company he's been so valiantly defending, to a large class of readers that likely have no prior contact with him whatsoever.
There, is that better? -
I'm sure you're under a great deal of stress currently and I'm sure that causes you to be a bit abrasive. However I do think your anger towards me concerning my statement is a bit misdirected and also a bit unreasonable. I don't believe anyone on this board is out to "deceive" you and I do know that I hope for the best for you despite your attitude towards me. Best wishes for your future. -
I have been researching and weighing the pros and cons about becoming a trucker. I have read alot of threads in this forum about swift. I have come to the conclusion that I will proceed with the Swift Driving Acadamey. Thank you to all for providing feed back on your experiences with this company. As it has made it possible for me to know what am getting myself into. I have tons of questions and have been thinking about posting a Thread of my own. So be on the look out for this thread, hearing your feed back will be very helpful in my future endeavors.

I never meant to imply that I felt I was being deceived, but rather that if a Swift employee is going to put forth the position repeatedly that Swift is not at fault for the Tennessee CDL scandal, but rather the third-party examiners (who, incidentally, were employed by Swift, which makes the issue of fault a very gray legal area indeed), then one ought to own up to the fact in that thread that they are, indeed, employed by Swift.
I already have stated that I am not employed by Swift, so I don't feel it outside the realm of courtesy to expect that if another poster repeatedly goes to bat for Swift and they're employed by Swift, that they be willing to state that in that thread, primarily so that our new and/or guest members have a greater understanding of the reason(s) what could be called "the bigger picture".
Obviously, I can't require that, but I would have had (and, would now have) a greater respect for "pawpaw" if he did.
I never meant to be abrasive, but since I started posting on this Forum I've had to defend my views and even my facts multiple times, so now after a few weeks here, I've begun to think that drivers really don't stick together after all. I guess I came on this Forum thinking that other drivers would be more willing to help, or at least, listen. I was disillusioned. -
p.s. You look exactly like one of my husband's former students. -
*leaves a huge hug for Truckrswife* I'm praying for y'all hun.
TruckrsWife Thanks this.
