That means a lot boss! Thank you for the kind words.
With it being the first time over the road I was really concerned that my mentors actions would be the norm. I'm glad to hear that he's the exception, not the rule.

With that said, Ive seen some good and bad and refuse to wallow in it. There are some willfully wallowing in their cabs. I don't think you will be one of those.
I had three trainers, one in particular was a cornerstone of everything afterwards. His first demand, a clean truck. That cigarette wrapper, off that floor now. Right now. *CLOCK! (Punch) That would be back when a certain amount of reinforcement was used. Not so much today. I had other trainers, but they don't deserve that title. I get out of there as soonest.Fling1995 Thanks this. -
Stopped reading to comment about the part about the hygiene. You have a travel agent. If you have a problem with some stinky driver who refuse to bath, call the travel agent. Have you called your travel agent? No? then shame on you.
(Here's the part where I sound like a First Class A Hole. Do not read any further if you are the type person who wants their ears tickled)
Now, you're trying to paint a picture, and there are certain things in your post that rub me the wrong way.
"But Six, we should TOLERATE each other's beliefs."
You're absolutely correct. That's why we're not going to talk about them. Because normally the way that goes, when you and I have a disagreement on beliefs, one of us is going to try to impose his or her beliefs upon the other. And you being the student, automatically are at a disadvantage.
It's real simple, hand...Keep your business YOUR business.
"But Six, what if I had to bow down on the mat and pray towards the east at 12 noon?
And we have an appointment to keep? Better learn to do it on the roll.D.Tibbitt, InTooDeep, otterinthewater and 1 other person Thank this. -

On your second point, I never brought up politics. I am a white male American. My mentor was a black male citizen of Mexico. My mentor yelled, ranted, and raved for hours on end for everything from the USA stealing land from Mexico to slavery to how I look to much like Donald Trump.
The issue that you appear to be making here is that you put the automatic blame on me as the student. You also stopped with the least of my concerns and skipped right over major saftey issue. I ran my problems past a couple of highway patrol friends just now and they were shocked. Keep driving Triple Six. You are part of the problem.humpingvan and Digger130 Thank this. -

A student of history can take apart the 1840's Mexican-American politcal-Military situation versus our Administrations Monroe Doctrine in a few minutes but I wont do that here. I don't mind too much where anyone is from. Being a trainer is difficult enough. Having a audience of one is not welcome.
truckdriver31 and Fling1995 Thank this. -
You chose to be a victim. You are part of the problem.Last edited: Mar 31, 2019

Incorrect again. I was a swift Academy student. I was not given any contact information. As stated, I had to have a friend spend 3 hours on hold with swift to get me off the truck.
He yelled at me over identity politics based on my skin color and nationality.
You've not made a single observation about his unsafe operation of the vehicle nor him instructing me to operate the vehicle unsafely. -
More than that, hygeine in a commercial vehicle is LAW. And both him and that vehicle need an acid bath to get clean. You are part of the problem Triple 6.
Before this I had 3 years as a class b driver doing flatbed. I know my saftey laws.
