It is currently looking like he's getting fired as he deserves. More updates to come.

@Antinomian I'm certain you're a real ray of sunshine yourself

I'll never understand why the wisdom on here is to do a year with a mega. It ought to be to avoid those companies at all costs, complete with instructions on how to do it. But this site is funded by those jerks.

Bad habits handed down over and over... borders on superstition and a lot of it is dangerous. That truck parked just off the exit ramp, we all know where they got their training.

You don't like something, walk away. Anyone who worries about job hopping is disconnected from the industry. it's engineered to drive good people away.

We need to revoke MC's of any company with over 25% turnover.

I started training with my company (a smaller family owned company with around 500 trucks) back in mid-December, after graduating from a community college CDL course. I had 20 years of motorcoach driving before that.

I rode with 3 different trainers. The first one was an introvert who didn’t really want to talk to me and who preferred to do the driving. He was a nice guy, but I didn’t learn much from him.

The second guy was incredibly impatient, yelled a lot, and yes, tried to get me to talk politics (we agreed on very little), and tried to get me to buy stuff from his wife’s home business. He was terrible at instruction, too, and after a week with him, my confidence was so shaken that I almost quit. And I’m pretty sure he told our training department that I wasn’t going to work out.

My third trainer was great, and I was ready to drive solo after a week with him, and I’ve been on my own for two months, Hopefully your next guy will be like him!

Update: I'm with a new mentor who is as saftey conscious as myself. He's clean and showers frequently. We're in Barstow California right now headed to Compton with a reefer load.

The other mentor is under investigation by the heads of saftey in montana, Utah, and Arizona. I've been told that he likely won't have a position much longer.

    Roll on folks ✌
