My 2 cents, personally I would never go Per Diem. You claim per diem then you can not claim the $59/day, plus remember that it also reduces your gross pay on your W-2 at the end of the year. This could hurt in the event you are trying to purchase some large item

    Broccelli and Leftnut Thank this.

But ,but ,but they make it sound so good .. Lol
"You will have your money now"
    Hahahah

All they are doing is cheating in the long run .

My company just started it , so I don't know what I will expect , but there are a lot of days I get paid per deim and I end up at my house for the day . Lol

Actually the accountant I have been using for years does it a little differently. I keep up with every day I am away from home and let's say I am getting .10 a mile per diem he calculates it up with my days out to see if I got all the 59 bucks a day per diem coming to me. If I did not he claims it then on my taxes has been doing it for years. So I can get some now on my check or wait and get it on my tax return doesn't matter I always get the whole amount. He specializes is doing taxes for truck drivers.

I will not take part in a company per diem plan that says hey we give you 10 cents tax free but take 3 cents from your mileage pay, no I don't fall for that.

Isn't the pay scale listed on page one outdated? Does anyone have the current pay scale?

I'm pretty sure its the most current one for now. They said in the Qualcomm video the next one should be coming out soon. Can't remember when exactly he said.

The team rates at least seem way off. My DL is having a hard time getting the info too. I'll try calling payroll.

    Dear OTR, Linehaul, Shuttle Drivers,
There are a lot of exciting things happening at Swift that we want to make
    sure you know about.

    Wage Increase in May, 2015

First, we’re excited to share with you that this coming May we will be
doing another Driver wage increase. On May 1, 2015, starting pay for
mileage paid OTR/Linehaul/Shuttle Drivers up to one year of experience will
be a minimum of $0.36 cents per mile. Mileage paid OTR/Linehaul/Shuttle
Drivers that have 1+ years of experience will get an increase of $0.02 per
mile. Please note that loads picked up and delivered east of the
    Mississippi still carry a premium.

In addition, drivers will be ranked at the time of their first solo
dispatch and will receive a weekly performance payout until the beginning
of the following quarter after which you will then receive a quarterly
performance payout. Gold, Platinum and Diamond drivers will receive a $0.02
rate per mile performance pay increase.

This approximately 10% increase is reflective of our dedication to you and
we are committed to rewarding you for the positive behaviors you exhibit
    that produce results.
