Your complaints are bogus. Any trucking company is going to limit your speed. And you don't speed through construction zones, pal-even when no one is watching. You are a rookie, just do your one year and then make a change if need be.

Green bay told me they will only do forward facing camera because their lawyers said it's too risky liability wise for rear facing cams

I went to swift academy and before their orientation went to Schneider. Figured that doesn't count as job hopping since I didn't sign anything with swift except a school contract.

Schneider trucks are limited to 64 but cruise will set to max of 60. If your foot is on the accelerator at all when the truck is going at 60 mph or higher you'll get dinged for overspeed. Company goal is something like 3% overspeed, so it's not the end of the world but you can't just drive along at 64 the whole way. Sure helps with passing those trucks going 61 downhill and 58 uphill though.
If the truck goes over 70 mph EVER, you get dinged for excessive overspeed and that is just not good looking on your record.

There's no cameras except for newest trucks. Those have forward facing cameras with no audio. The whole fleet is supposed to get them by 2018. No driver facing cameras.

That said though, they can track everything you do in that truck anytime. Speed, following distance, speed of traffic, how hard you stop, how you shift, how hard you turn, if you don't use turn signals properly during a lane change.. I'm sure it goes on much further. But at least they can't track my hairstyle choice that day.

I ve seen a few Schneider company trucks on I 20 near where I live running 68-73 mph. Some are team trucks, some are million milers, some just have the Schneider logos

@Friday pretty much summed it up about speeds at Schneider. Leaving any company solely because of speed complaints and coming to Schneider just doesn't make sense. I'm pretty happy here though, regardless of slow speed. However, I don't have anything to compare my experience to.

Not to change the subject or anything, but TMC trucks can do 40 through Flying J parking lots. Some idiot just proved it while I was reading this thread. I decided to type this instead of getting on the radio and telling him what a fool he looked like. OK, now I feel better...carry on.

A new guy with 3 months of experience wants a truck that's fast. Hmmm!!! First of all, no one should be driving 67 mph in a truck, your asking for an accident waiting to happen.

63 mph is plenty enough speed to get you where you are going.
