Those are not my only two choices. Those are the choices I made. I know all starters have bad rep. Like I said I drove for Swift before and I know first hand how they are. They did me no wrong. I have gotten new info that makes me lean towards going back to Swift. Stevens requies going to school again regaurdless of already having CDL. I am not against training I welcome it but having to go thru another CDL school is a little much plus I would have to foot that bill. I believe Stevens is a good co and Swift also. I have not been otr for a time now so the Swift 240 requirement dont bug me. Just keep chin up and dont listen to the grumbles. All works out. So I leave for Edwardsvill, KS on 3 Feb.

Are you SURE Swift won't make you go back through the Academy? There was a guy in my class who had a CDL and he had to go through. The class behind me had a guy in the same position. Now when I went to orientation there was a guy there who had never worked for any company. Had only hauled the towns float to parades. He'd been doing it for 30 years. He said he didn't have any verifiable experience. They only required him to go with a mentor. All this is FYI.

As for Swift, they've treated me very fairly so far. I guess my only complaint is that I was supposed to be home on the 22nd and I'm sitting in Sumner still. It's a slow time of year so I guess it's to be expected. You have to roll with the punches and be flexible.

    Good luck.
