Comdata card. For folks that can't have a bank account?

I have a friend that is an O/O, I'll ask him.

Rug, your com card has nothing to do with your bank account. You can have both.

I wa looking at the address for my hotel. It is a Holiday Inn Select by the airport. I did a Google zoom down to the steet level. It is 1.8 miles from the Swift location on Brooks Drive in Memphis.

When I zoomed to the school location in Millington on Veteran's Pkwy I didn't see any trucks.

Hotel is about 180 miles from me. Not riding the bus.

    Hello everyone,

I'm a recent graduate of a private trucking school.
Just have a few questions about swift's orientation.

I start orientation this Monday, I heard a lot of people get sent home because of drug tests not being back yet, Or they don't have a mentor for them right away. Just wondering if this is true or not.
And if anyone has any tips for orientation it would be greatly appreciated:biggrin_255:

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremiah

Honestly, just because you are going to orientation does not mean you have a job yet... especially with Swift. People get sent home for a bunch of reasons during that process. As long as you have been honest on your application, medical conditions etc you should be fine tho. Bring some nodoz or 6 hour energy tho, because it will be boring as hell on most occasions. Bunch of videos and paperwork and sitting around. Thats about how it goes.

Mentor situation varies from region to region. Unsure about your area but generally speaking on the SE they usually have a mentor ready to get you on Wed or Thurs. Wish you luck in getting a high quality mentor tho.

Sadly, there are some mentors out there who only train because they want to get paid for all of the miles the student runs. Basically, a second log book on the truck. They have no real interest in training someone to become a safe, competent truck driver.

Then there is the issue of rookies training rookies. Swift allows people with only six months of OTR experience to become Mentors.
