Congratulations. I'm not too familiar with Swift's process, but it sounds like you are going to be hired unless the drug tests rule you out. So that's a good sign. When you get a trainer, keep his phone number in your phone and ask if he will mind you calling when you are solo if you need help about company policy or driver-to-driver questions. There are "tricks of the trade" and customer situations that will come up and having a more experienced driver in your company can really help you out. The job is pretty solitary but there is no reason drivers at the company cannot help each other. It helped me often at the companies I worked for.

    Wooooooowww!!!! :D

I only wish we had more posts/threads like this one! :hello1: :notworthy:

How I envy you so -- back several years ago, I tried to start out with Swift -- but got kicked to the curb....since I didn't have the stable job history that you clearly do.

Please -- do keep us posted on your later progress & experiences with Swift.

OTR dry van, with Swift -- sounds like a true adventure! :-D :happy7: :headbang:

I will. Ill post tommorow after i get home.

Yeah. I liked my old job but it was taking a toll on my body after so long. I was security in a mental health hospital.

In 15 years I've had a broken leg, slipped disc in my back, and a rotator cuff injury and multiple strains, cuts, and bruises. All from paitents.

When I healed from the shoulder I knew I was done. Soon as I was cleared off light duty and they were going to send me back I took a leave of absence to look for another job.

Swift gets a lot of heat because they have so many trucks but they are a decent company.. I think the knight-swift merger cleaned up a lot of loose ends that Swift had.. you don't see swifties Dorking it up as much as they used to..seems to be more Amazons and SuperEgos now days..they are a decent company but still a mega.. yeah you can do a year or so..but guys have been there 30 plus... good luck..
