Sounds like the joke some auto repair shops used to pull on women " That there's a Ford, and all I got at my shop is Chevy air. You need a place with Ford air for them tires ".

Yes I was very comfortable with everything, when we were out I did all the hooking an unhooking with him over looking. Also did every single back, had many different kinds. My trainer was also very comfortable with me after week 1 we were bullcrapping and getting along great. The trainer I had a SNI was the best guy for that job. Great talking skills, very polite and would never raise his voice just offer constant things to try. Every single day he would also go over my logs and pick at them making sure every thing was legal. This is one thing he taught me ALWAYS RUN LEGAL, ITS NOT WORTH THE FINE OR KILLING SOMEONE! All in all sni taught me alot, but if one were going to there training I would try to get into the greenbay WI training academy.

LOL...Well since I've been running a new chrome plated sealed muffler bearing I haven't had as much trouble with that.

Glad I backed out of starting with SWIFT. Went to my mother's house North of their Tennessee location to prepare.

Kept thinking the whole way there that this was going to be a real big mistake. Especially after getting a look at two of their terminals and seeing just how big of a company they were.

Thankfully, I never gave a final start date/accepted employment to my recruiter or I'd probably be like them guys that had to pay for school even though they were kicked out and what not. ( Not to mention it was raided)

Going to get a loan and just pay for school. Found a school here that I can pay half up front then the rest before the second half.

Good luck to everyone who went to SWIFT.

I have just been accepted into Swift training in Mid march, and I have decided that before I actually show up there I am going to read every Swift thread on this forum at least twice....

With all the bad things we hear about SWIFT aside, it was just the size of the company that did it for me.

If possible I'd advise everyone to check one of their terminals before applying. Trucks and trailers everywhere. More than a few buildings too.

Up to u, I just don't want to be a dot on the map.

Yep lots of trucks trailers and buildings with the largest carrier in the US. Going to happen. As for the Dot on the map. Well I can tell you that I have been here for over a year and a half and I am not a Dot on anyones map. And I have been treated pretty well, Allot better then my brother in law who Worked for May trucking... And If you have a decent DM and a decent attitude you will do fine at Swift...

You get what you give a lot of the bad stories come from disgruntled ex-employee's who are giving a colored or one sided story. All you hear about is how much Swift sucks. But the person making the statement wont fess up to the two preventable, three moving violations, seventeen service failures, arguing, bad mouthing and cussing pretty much anyone who crosses their path and simply cant understand what they was fired for. And its not just Swift its any company that this happens with. The moral, take everything with a grain of salt and think for yourself.
