    why would you want a fleet to change your oil, tires, etc. its your truck your responsibility. i see using their plate and insurance. did you pay your 2290

    none. take it to a shop and pay for a dot inspection.

    how are you driving this thing around on public roads with no insurance currently?

    bare minimum for a lease operator is bobtail Insurance, you cannot purchase commercial liability insurance because you are not the motor carrier !!

    Easy fix... Get temp bobtail insurance(google it), then take it to a TA, truck stop, or shop(again, google nearest one to you) that does DOT inspections and SIGN ONTO A OWNER/LEASE OPERATOR ONLY COMPANY! Mega carriers are liars and they will bend you over and squeeze you out for every dime you don't have!

    Oh, he's going to pay. He just doesn't realize how much revenue he's missing by going to a mega.

    i know that silly. all you have to do is get the truck into a local truck shop and get a dot inspection. this whole thing has way to many red flags.

    Don't even need to move the truck, there are mobile truck service companies that will come to the truck and do an inspection.

    You cannot buy “bobtail” insurance unless you are leased to a carrier.

    I think you need to have a sit down with a Swift rep and get things lined out. They lease on trucks every day and someone should be able to work things out.

    Now why you would lease to Swift has me confused.
