My lease guy got it himself about two years ago.

    Maybe that's changed since?

My brain hurts now. Every company I've leased on to dis their own dot inspection. I bought a bobtail & collision policy myself after I found sometime to lease on to. Places like Schneider can get you a temp tag so you can drive to orientation. Personally I have everything seperate, ins, plates, 2290 & fuel card. Only thing I take is OCAC ins because I haven't found one worth a dam on my own.

    KB3MMX Thanks this.

Not sure about DOT inspection. State inspection in Pa, b-tail proof of insurance is required. Have mine with Great Western. 1700 p/year. Collision and some extra accidental coverage for me if injured while working on the truck.141.66 a month isn't too bad. Collision value on trk is 24 or 25,000 i think. Remember anything you get for "your truck" through a company is gonna cost you more 99% of the time.

You have a paid for truck. Look for a carrier that pays percentage.
    What trailer can you haul?
Clist or indeed is a step toward way better. Do not go for mile pay.

Sure you can buy b-tail insurance. You can even buy just liability b- tail insurance. If it gets crashed, and or totaled..its your baby.
