I am not sure, Swift might have paid .03 a mile extra for Hazmat in the past. My mentor has a new student that said they are going to start paying $35 per trip extra for Hazmat. The powers that be predicted where they were going to be at this time. They topped their expectations. Maybe things are coming back?
On the subject of SWIFT. Just got a call from a recruiter who told me that a 26 over speeding ticket is an auto DQ from them for 3 years (anything over 15 mph). Is this an industry standard?
Thank NT... Any suggestions would be appreciated.. I'm looking at everything I can, expediter, company wheel etc, just trying to get in.
Your welcome. Yeah, most will go back 3-5 years on tickets. Right now it is really hard with so many drivers looking that have clean records.
I'd drive taxi right now if I wasn't in podunk country up here in MI, although I'm near the 80/90 and 94.... I'll pull up a google on Pilot'ing'... Had I not had a death in the fam and a group of cars to run with on the outskirts of Chicago, I wouldn't be sittin with that ticket on my paperwork.... Ce La Vie..
Yeah they are hiring...talked to a recruiter this week on tuesday....dont believe everything you see on the internet....The deal with the speeding tickets are true because I have to wait 3 years to work for them.....My ticket will be 3 years old on August 1st 2010.....They also changed the age policy to 23 years old.....Otherwise the recruiter I talked to said I will be ready to go in november when I turn 23......Thank the lord I already have my class a cdl so i dont have to mess with the fuss....Im very excited about this.....See you guys on the road
