Second, if you want to make more, be willing to do more. Its not hard to find people willing to drive 2000 miles a week, drop/hook.

hopeful eyes I believe you said somewhere you are female and living in Utah. Correct? If not Mia Copa.
Both are great advantages. I want out of Utah and I'm broken down a little. But if you're healthy that's another advantage.
North Salt Lake has a lot of companies and Ogden has nice houses. They are talking about an inland port somewhere around the airport or Tooele area. By the time you have some money saved up you'll be able to find a home near a work hub so you don't have to commute far.
I used to do fuel tankers in the San Francisco Bay Area before I hurt my back. At that time Utah was actually paying their drivers more then the Bay Area. I worked beside many women. If you're in average health you can do the job just fine. A few of the ladies I could of picked up and tossed in the air if I didn't know they would have kicked my butt for doing itYou don't need to be big muscle-bound guy to do the work.
Being female is an advantage because many companies are actively trying to hire more women. They won't break all they're hiring rules but I've seen them bending them like a pretzel. Look for and apply to jobs others are telling you you can't get yet. They might not qualify for the job but you might.
Good luck. -
