Plus tell me a convenience store that pays $25 an hour. Cuz to gross 1k a week in a 490hr work week that is the hourly it has to pay.
You'll have to prove yourself. The company will be entrusting you with nearly a quarter million dollars worth of equipment, plus the value of the load, plus the value of their reputation, plus the value of their CSA score. You have to prove that you're reliable, safe, trustworthy.
You want... you want... you need. Prove to the company, any company, that you can run high miles and be on time for pick up and delivery and do it safely - you will have the miles. Personally, my goal is not to make a lot of money. I have no set $$$ amount for each week. My goal is to do my job in the safest possible way while delivering my loads on time. Everything else will take care of itself. Next week I won't make half of what you require. The loads did not match up to the pay period. I got stuck in Bismark, ND and out of my region, so loads were slim. My DM found me a nice 1300 mile load, but it doesn't/can't deliver until Monday - in the next pay period. So I have about 900 miles for this week. Then again, I start next week with 1300 miles on the first day of the pay period. It is give and take, but it balances itself out.
