Same thing in British Columbia. It is a 45 minute pre-trip, 45 minute drive, a back-up, and a couple and un-couple. You can only get60 points or you fail. BC is the hardest road test in North America, they are real sticklers and it's because of the fact that we are a mainly mountainous area and they want all drivers to be safe. I am guessing that's why Denver would be hard as opposed to other areas.

Phx road test, after getting out of mentor truck..
1.. drive about 5 miles making all right turns.
2.. close quarters backing. Back between two trailers.
Fail one or the other, retake next day... simple.lord_sixpac Thanks this. -

Pretrip, hook trailer, pull out, drive around town a bit, back into slot took trailer from, drop trailer.
Was real easy after driving 200+ hours with mentor. -
Thanks for the laugh.
Taking test in 3 weeks & haven't driven in a long time.
Cheers. -

The Swift upgrade road test is significantly easier than the CDL road test. Literally drive around the block, and then back it back into the space you started from.
Out of the dozen or so students I've mentored, every one of them has passed the road test on the first try.
Don't worry about it.Masshole/Noobie Thanks this. -
I'm stoked to give trucking a second try.
