Thanks guys for everything! I'm pretty confident on how my experience with swift is going to turn out. I'm just hoping that nobody in the hotel is going to attempt to use drugs. Someone I know said a person in their hotel room brought some marijuana and attempted to smoke it! Nobody is going to ruin it for me!another question..is the physicians actually at the swift terminals or do they send us to a local clinic? I just want to know what to expect in every aspect!
Where are the Swift drivers getting screwed? Hmm been with them since October and one thing I can say is they are mostly all a bunch of nice people to work with. Just a few problems like dirty trailers and crazy fuel routes sometimes but other than this everything is just sweet here at Swift. getting plenty of miles
we went to the local clinic for the full workup. Including the turn your head and cough, nice lady cold hands.
I'm so glad to heat that Bon. I'm just so inexperienced with anyrthing in the industry and just lookin for a heads up! I'm stoked for everything. As long as I get my 6months in so I can get a job with my uncle haulin' fuel. And goin home every night! Woo hoo!
just to let you know 2nd day was more videos, alot of paperwork, tours of the facilities, we lost a guy because he lied on his app. today is finishing up paperwork, we will get our employee numbers and cards. do coupling and uncoupling on the computer bank stuff. Then done, i leave on a mentors truck between 12pm and 5pm, to be out as long as he is that is all i know and could tell my family last night.
Look I drive for swift I try to get 2500 to 3000 miles a week and that's by begging for miles over the qualcom I have been stuck sitting today and have told them send me any load so as far as your family starving well I am gonna be honest with you mine does and I do bringing home on average 400 to 500 per week don't feed u and your family after rent and all the other bills have to get paid so do not go in thinking you are going to be bringing home 600 to 800 per week actually during training with your mentor you will be lucky to see 300 per week as far as the regional I was supposed to be great lakes regional and here it is 5 months later still otr and stay out anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks at a time and then only get 3 days at home cuz once u take 4 you have to turn your truck in and when you come back hope that they have another truck for you I hope this helps clear things up I have ran 3300 miles one time in the 5 months I have been with swift so I am not affraid to run but trying to get miles is like pulling teeth
