Correct me if I am wrong but I always thought it was drawn on birch bark with charcoal? His excuse was that the charcoal got smudged with the rain and all. Sometimes upgrades in technology are not better than the original.

The 80's hair band Warrant once sang, and I quote " she's my cherry pie, a cool drink of water what a sweet surprise".... Not to get off topic, so I digress. The GPS will route you into apple trees as well. Just saying..

    WHAT JOKE??????
I'm married to a German, (or rather an American of German descent.) Not only do they follow instructions to a T, (unless of course, the instructions come from their husband...but that is for the rant section,) they also expect YOU to follow instructions. And then they cannot believe it when those instructions are wrong. . .

My question is why did you not call the shipper or consignee and ask for the right directions to there lot?

Every company I have worked for give you there phone number when you get the load info. Even if my company give me directions i still call to make sure it is right.

A lot of places/people can't give good directions. Some people are clueless and of no help at all.

Some companies give out bogus phone numbers, a search on your favorite search engine if service is available might provide some results. If all else fails i think Walmart might still sell detalied city/street paper maps. all yah now is an address.

I am not the op. But sometimes I delivor to construction sites of new buildings that do not even have addresses yet. When my customer can not give me driections, gps coordinates, a cross street, or even tell me if they are north or south of the highway, and all they say is drive around the area you will see a construction site, that makes things fun.
