I used to run into that crap all the time when I delivered for Familian. I am amazed that some of these clowns, particularly plumbers can even find their own job sights, let alone trying to give directions to a driver.
(Talk about a job I hated. . .but then I wasn't there for very long.)

I delivor paint, so I am dealing with painting contractors at jobsites. A lot of them are clueless how they got there, have no idea about truck routes, and some don't speak english.......

Those German women are sneaky. You marry this one:

But you have to live with this one:

Sometimes I swear I hear Wagner playing when she comes stomping down the hall with a mad on. Those are the times I call work to see if I can come in early.

@Naptown, in all honesty, I've got to say that I finally, (after two other tries,) found the "right one." But that doesn't mean that we don't have disagreements. We do, but have never had a serious one in 20+ years of marriage.
(And no she does not ever come on the forum, so she won't be seeing this.):)

When you as a truck driver get into this situation the best way to handle it is to get as close as you can. You should never just go looking. A lot of places have low clearance bridges and weight limited roads. Turning around can be impossible. I have always felt that it is your companies responsibility to get you enough information to make that delivery. I have always told drivers to stay put until you get at least a good phone number. You should stop putting 100% faith in that GPS too. The night before I had to make a delivery and I had no idea where I was going, I used google aerial satellite maps and followed with my eyes when getting directions. Then using those directions I used the touch and go feature of my GPS never the address. This system never failed me.
