Perfect example of why u-turns should be avoided. It's a wonder there weren't more serious injuries.
-
Wow. From the looks of it, the log truck driver is lucky he wasn't killed.
-
Aren't U-turns against Swift company policy? I'm pretty sure they used to be. Heck, U-turns were against policy for every outfit I have driven for! Getting reported pulling a u-turn was a sure fired way to get yourself fired real quick...
-
I don't recall my company ever addressing u-turns. I don't know if they allow them or not. I've never made a u-turn simply because it's illegal in so many places. It's also unsafe in a lot of situations.
-
Well, I didn't know they where making long nose cabovers anymore.

I bet the driver of the Swift truck now realizes that he was pulling a 53' trailer behind him.
American-Trucker Thanks this. -

looking for a job........
Cause Swift done him wrong !!!!!American-Trucker, harleymanjax and RCA1802 Thank this. -
Can that log truck driver be any luckier (given the circumstances) in that the swift driver was carrying a load of styrofoam cups?
Bubble wrap or packing peanuts would be about the only better options!
