When I left Swift in March 03 the same happened with me they said I refused a drug test. I never refused a drug test since I don't do drugs no reason to refuse. When I called Phoenix they told me it was an error and had it corrected the next day. As for pay I was always paid the miles I was given and since Swift pays HHG like most companies yes I drove more miles then I was paid but I aware of this going in.
Bottom line is Swift did not work for you for me they have been good for me and I will be going back this week.

Hey if doin a couple hours of volunteer work a day is your thing, then have at it. I went in not knowing much about trucking and was told in both school and orietation that they were paying short miles somewhere in the range of 5-10% I thought it sounded fishy and I started to run the numbers in my head thought to myseflf 5-10% is'nt really that bad, but that 5-10% would sometimes be 15-20%. so again if thats your thing, good luck to you. I dont need to be hit in the face twice with a sledge hammer to know that it hurt the first time

Did he fill out an app online at one of those trucker job sites? That could be where they got it.

Swift may be a trainee company, but they put drivers on the road. Sure there are some bad drivers, but I see more of them than I do any other, and as a four wheeler, I have yet, to see them make a mistake.

I still think that Swift is picked on needlessly. I see so many Swift trucks on the Interstates, and have yet to see one screw up, and I have seen others screw up...I don't work for them. I am a four wheeler, but I live in an area that has a lot of Swift trucks and have traveled I-80 and I-15, and I-70, and 40 and 64 and 664 and 81, without seeing any of their trucks in a bad situation. I mean NONE! I have seen others in HOT spots and in accidents....Why pick on Swift?

Because for the reason you posted "THERE ARE MORE OF THEM " on the road than any others.

Years back it was JB HUNT that had the horror stories and jokes.

You read the posts and you get truthful POSITIVE and NEGATIVE about them just like any other outfit from people who actually worked there. Some of what happens is the companies fault just as much as the drivers fault .

Then you get the I know a guy whose next door neighbours 3rd wifes cousin dated a driver who knew of somebody that went to SWIFT and Let Me Tell You:biggrin_25515: stories.

JB Hunt still gets picked on. Werner and Schneider get picked on as well. Swift gets it too. I drove for Swift when I first started driving, and I even told the jokes about them! My favorite was Student With Idiot For Trainer, because that is what my first trainer was! A lot of the jokes about the companies actually get started by people that drive for them. My hubby has made up a few about the company he drives for.

I'm a blond, and I tell blond jokes also!
