    After 6 calls to get to talk to my recruiter I finally talked to her this am.. Told to call back at end of the day. Many more phone calls and I got to talk to her again. She got me an orientation date for August 4th. I have to call her back tomorrow afternoon and then she will finalize everything on the 27th. I guess the sqeaky wheel does get greased.

    I know, I got my license april10th. Haven't been behind the wheel since then.

    I can pass the drivers test though. Only problem I can see is I learned on day cabs with 40 foot trailers and test will probably be a sleeper cab abd a 53.

    Glad ta see ya finally got a date... its a sad thing though when ya are a squeaky wheel enough that you know the full phone number and 7 digit extension for the recruiter by heart LOL !!!! I think things have slowed down for my recruiter.. when I called this morning to follow up for my class on the 27th she actually answered first call :yes2557:

    it's been about 3 years but from what I can remember backing a longer wheel base will be much easier for ya !! they key thing to remember (if memory serves me right) is they react a little slower (makes life really easy on a straight back LOL) and ya just have to cut the wheel a little more for off-set / 45 / 90 type backing....:biggrin_255:

    Thanks nighthawk.

    The problem is that swift doesn't hook you uo with a recruiter from the treminal you are going to go to. The recruiter for that terminal gets more slots for orientation while the recruiter I had only gets 2 slots a month, so you have to wait.

    I was number 3 on her list, but one of the people ahead of me didn't call her back so she gave me the slot. After all I have heard that they get paid by how many drivers they put in.
