Can't be Steve although he likes the lease (although Swift is pushing his buttons lately) he isn't that close to finishing the lease yet.

Nope, and in light of the planning issues, plus one...trailer conditions( getting better recently) and seeming confusion and rancor withing swift internally....making moves to look into some where else....I .E .third party financing a truck,Schneider ic program,....ect... To keep my truck would be 50 more a week and two more years! Roll into a new truck 590-610 plus insurance goes up ...all together extra 85 a week....and still have to deal with all the other aggravating issues cited already....unless a new and far more generous pay program, load board with actual choices or other major incentives come soon.....I may be saying hasta la vista baby....work far to hard for this aggravation and pay...I have a perfect driving record, safe score under zero,no sf and am far easier on my dm than others here...I don't give him any problems......will see...almost sure I won't keep this truck....big truck trucking is sure expensive.......only thing holding me here is loyalty, knowing the system well and the freedom....

Regarding the topic of the thread, Swift is looking to hire and train 500 drivers a week. Right now there is a logjam, with trainees waiting to get on trucks with trainers (mentors). It would be good to see some more experienced drivers get into the mentor program, if even for taking on just a few trainees a year.

There is always been a certain level of nonsense ... For me though, it's just hyper frustrating dealing with Swift after working with Command. To be honest, I more or less run Command exclusively.

Through the last 6 weeks and the start of this week, I've only run 5 Swift loads. One of those was a trailer reposition, that I only did for reasons that I can not provide at this time.

maybe command and a newer truck would keep me at swift if the pay is better? But I heard it won't pay any better than a swift load....can I ask my dm about using them too?
