Maybe I have been lucky.
Or maybe people complain about things that really don't happen that often.
After nearly 6 years out here I have not had the problems that 'most' have had with shippers.
Every now and then - and I stress the now and then aspect as being not very often - I am held up by a shipper or receiver that is short handed or slow or simply does not care.
Very rarely is anyone rude or impolite to me.

You ever tried the Anheuser busch in Houston, live load kills your clock, then it kills your truck with weight.
-
Did swift pay you detention when that happened?
-
Swift pays detention starting 2 hours after the appointment time ... I average about 100 hours of detention pay a year.
-
That's cool! I was wondering about Charlie Mac b/c he was arguing awhile back that drivers shouldn't expect to be paid detention/breakdown pay. I was wondering if he still feels the same way now that he's experienced excessive delays at shippers/receivers.

I so like the detention that I get here. Delayed the other day at Schwans for 6 hours past the load time, give them their 2 hours and received $300. Gotta love it

Refrigerated distributors are the worst offenders for detaining drivers. Kroger, Safeway, Walmart, food lion, kraft can all be brutal.
-
Did the company (Swift) pay for the testing?
-
I didn't take a sleep apnea test with themG13Tomcat Thanks this.
