Yea , 18 mph below the speed limit . Hahaha that's not a safety hazard. getting blown off the road by cattle haulers . Lol And that makes sense to a trainee can go 65 . In his trainer's truck
Reefer has nothing to do with it ... do you only pull temperature controlled freight? Or do you pull other freight? You can pull Conway or Fed Ex that will have Haz Mat. You need to know the standard of what needs to be placarded at what quantities. And you can haul IBC in a reefer ... hell you may even have to haul temperature controlled IBCs. And to haul IBCs the video on tankers will help you.
And as such you can also haul non-reefer loads which may include bulk liquids or small amounts of HM. Get a grip. Buck up!
Back in the days, I can not remember how many loads that I pulled in a reefer that was HM, and it was many. There are even some loads that we haul that the comments actually say that the truck must idle when on break to keep the load from freezing. Figure that one out.
Oh my buckle is on . Put your self in our shoes , starved miles , sent 3 messages today none were ever answered , all these new policies Hazmat , speed , idle . All that adds up A safety hold , if I don't get that hazmat thing done ? Really wtf is a safety hold ? If I was running and making money it might be different. But I am not , I get a 900 mile load and 4 days . Lol what am I supposed to do with that . I am not out here to be on a vacation , if I was 21 yrs old and still lived at home this would be fun , but that's not the case . I have a family to look out for and that's # one . just like them they are looking out for # one as well and its not us .
Maybe they mean reefer must run continuously. The truck can't keep a trailer from freezing unless you had to put some in the cab with you . Lol this truck won't idle over 1 minute and 45 seconds.lol had it in opti idle last night woke up and that screen was about 25 messages long .
Nope, that was in a dry van. Supposedly the idling truck keeps the trailer vibrating just enough to keep the liquid in the trailer vibrating just enough so that the product will not get a ice build up
Sounds strange , but yea I could believe that . Makes sense . I thought you said you pulled reefer before that's why I said what I did . Lol
