I would be taking the extra day , cause they didn't have you home.
I can't believe they are sending you the opposite direction tho .

I will agree for company drivers the whole home time thing with Swift needs a lot of work. Not the main reason, but a benefit to me as a O/O ... Being in control of how long I can stay home gives me a lot of flexibility.

In the past 3 years my home times have been more on time than late.
There was a stretch last year for about 6 months when that wasn't the case. I had to fight hard for it during that time. Not sure what happened. -
First week of the changover sucked. Kept getting loads that other drivers had picked up. Second week same thing. This week has been theres problem everytime i go to deliver my load sat all day the other day because the planner didnt confirm the po# with wallmart and seems to think i can do 745 miles in one day. Finally got them to reschedule my 99 so i can make it on time. My qualcomm started going berserk when i went 68 and i unplugged it. Then they try to make watch the speed video then go uh wait your an o/o im like yep. There like ok you dont need to take that. Oh yeah my first week of the changover i did a highvalue swift load. Swift had me go in to sign a new contract in utah and changed my truck number then thought i was in their fleet. I did one high value load with a swift trailer and half of the next one beforethey realized it. Those loads payed well though.

Let me get this straight.
"My qualcomm started going berserk when i went 68 and i unplugged it. Then they try to make watch the speed video then go uh wait your an o/o im like yep. There like ok you dont need to take that."
So a person signs some paperwork agreeing to make payments on a truck (that the person will never own) for the company and they're instantly more qualified to drive 3 miles per hour faster?
Makes sense .
CheerstangerineGT Thanks this. -
If I was paying $600 a week or more for a truck I would want to be able to go as fast as I can. Most L/O go a little slower anyways for fuel economy.
It is a very minor inconvience to have to watch a video, so that's nothing really to complain about much less quit a job over. I understand to some it is all the little things added up. But a lot of this stuff is very manageable and no reason to quit, however that is your decision.
Like I've said before the major issue of not getting enough miles will most likely go away soon. If you aren't running to make enough money then neither is the company so I'm sure they are as eager as you to get more miles for the central trucks they just have to iron out some kinks.
You guys only getting 3 days home time is weird. I can take 4 and most terminals allow swift drivers to take 4. So maybe down the road that might get ironed out for you guys too. -

Okay, quick question. At a Walmart DC and have to pay a $50 lumped fee. Sent a Mac 40 and got a message saying it was received and in the queue. Will they send an express code or a PO that I use to call Comdata with? If I call Comdata to get funds off my card do I just write my card number on the Comcheck? Thanks

Hey not to start trouble ,
There was a person who will remain anonymous, that had six months left on theirlease and they wouldn't let them buy out the contract , and told them if they turn in the truck the company would turn them into the credit bureau .
Sounds kinda weird . Maybe .. idk
