So, if Swift's training really bit that bad for you, why on Earth would you trust someone you are supposed to cherish and protect to their care? Why would you recommend she be trained by the same outfit you claim placed you in harm's way?

And further, don't either of you think for yourselves? Why didn't either of you stop if it was so dangerous?

I'm no mathematician, but something just isn't adding up here.

Trainers are not allowed to "team" with a student until after that student has 50 hours of seat time. That means the trainer is supposed to be in the passenger seat during that drive time. Theoretically, that could be knocked out in about 4 1/2 days. But, that's not typically going to happen. A new driver might drive for half a shift and the trainer finish it on his or her own book for the first few days. The idea now is to work them up to running a full shift.

If a truck moves for more than 11 hours and a trainer logs either off duty or sleeper time while the student is on duty or driving at any time during that first 50 hours, the trainer gets in hot water.

Things have changed in just the last five years.

Probably because we were both going through training at the same time.

When your told by your trainer that if you don't do as your told you won't get through your training you do what your told. We did complain to dispatch but were pretty much told that if the trainer did it that way it was ok as the trainer must of thought it was safe if they had us do it. If we didn't like it we could quit.

You can add it up however you want. I really don't care. I was just stating facts.
