I don't think you are guilty of that at all. You jump the gun quicker than I do, but usually for a good reason. I like to toy with people a bit longer than you do, because it usually allows them to hang themselves when I am patient enough to not call them on something immediately. I dangle the rope... and they loop it around their neck and kick the foot stool out from under their feet.

Swift lies, they ruin careers before they can start, they dont listen, and that one armed terminal manager in Gary,Indiana is a snide condescending big pr*ck. His office door is NOT aways open and he strokes his driver managers for doing bad deeds. I hope hazmat, the D>O>T> and that guy down in Arizona are watching you all very closely. Because money cant always buy everyone off. There are people in power out there somewhere that actually care, and I hope that they come forward soon and catch your azzes in your illegal doings and your wrongful treatment of employees! I highly encourage all that you are doing wrong to, to collect any and all paperwork and recordings and anything else to protect themselves, because when you paint them into quitting or being fired then they will be able to defend themselves. You cant be the biggest forever by treating people like ####. Some where there is someone in authority that is slowly compiling proof that you are breaking laws, and I cant wait to see it on the evening news when you all get hauled off to jail or fined so high that you are in the position you put your poor drivers when they dont get paid. And isnt it illegal to buy your own stocks before they rise really high? Even Martha Stewart couldnt get away with that!

As long as the load is secured properly and the trailer is placarded there should be no problem. Now I am assuming you are a solo driver, if the load is explossives it is common practice to have a team haul it.

As far as the logs go, they can't force to make changes to them.

Okay so you may get a newer truck or get to haul a newer trailer with them. Guess what, dont get used to it,they will not be giving you many miles to drive that unless you are a newbie. And how do you think they can afford those plastic trcuks? They have a 104% yearly turnover rate. If all of the new people would stop going to there schools and/or going to get employed by them ,then they would go under in a year. It is the new recruits that they scre over and soit out that keep them afloat. What are they gonna do when everyone smartens up and less new people go to them for their start in the industry?hmm? Probably start gettin immigrants over from Mexico. All of you employees that have been there awhile, who do you think keeps that companies doors open?DUH!!!!

If it was a reportable quality (placards required) then you could not haul it. As bad as Swift is I would have contacted in Phoenix if dispach was playng these games.

    They still playing that game?

When I was with them I could always tell how my miles were by how I was dispached. Begining of the month the miles would be good but as the month wore on the loads dried up, usualy when I was at the 9,000 mile point.

    HELL NO!!!

No way should you have taken that hazmat load without the endorsement. If the cops had caught you with that they would have put you under the jail!!

You were wise to check on that. Sometimes paperwork has a way of being wrong, but even that would be very bad for you for taking the load because of the safety regs.

I would suggest next time going to your safety dept. if that idiot orders you to do that again, and if that doesn't work, go to the law.

I hear Swift was once given an ultimatum by the state of Arizona, something to the effect of "Either make those slow trucks go faster, or don't bother coming to this state anymore."

I heard at one time Swift was facing legal actions from Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma for the slow trucks... But then Swift has been and still is a rumor mill....
